Project Partner

In collaboration with SBS and on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, we will conduct a business delegation for German companies in the field of Cybersecurity with a focus on Cloud and Data to the provinces of Ontario and Quebec from June 1st to 6th, 2025.

Market Situation

The Canadian cyber security market is growing, particularly due to demand in the areas of cloud security, IoT security, cyber security consulting, managed security services, data protection and compliance through expanding online trade. The increased traffic of sensitive data and growth in digital workplaces, together with technologies such as 5G, are increasing the vulnerability of private and corporate networks to cyberattacks. This is significantly increasing the risks but also the market opportunities in the area of cybersecurity. Canadian e-commerce grew to over 52 billion US dollars in 2023, with losses due to cyberattacks also increasing from eight per cent to 23 %. At the same time, Canadian companies have increased their spending on cybersecurity by 25 to 50 % since 2019, depending on the sector. by 25 to 50 %. There are numerous market opportunities for German companies in the field of civil security technologies and services.
