From coast to coast, our German smart mining delegation explored the diverse landscape of Canada's mining industry.
Starting in Vancouver, they visited the BRIMM - University of British Columbia, a hub for multidisciplinary teams of top researchers collaborating with industry to tackle mining's greatest challenges. Moving east to Montreal, they participated in the Canadian German Smart Mining Conference, where German companies showcased their expertise in mining manufacturing, laser technology, raw material processing, and digital applications. They also discussed topics on digitalization and automation of today’s mining challenges with German and Canadian institutions such as VDMA and Groupe MISA.
Additionally, the participants met with potential local partners, a great opportunity to exchange views and discuss cooperation. Not to forget one of the highlights: an evening boat cruise along Vancouver's coastline with 300 innovative thinkers, influencers, and industry leaders!
