The Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce is hosting a German business delegation on the topic “Technical Textiles”.
Canada is one of the most important producers of technical textiles in the world. The country has been producing textiles for over 150 years and supplies the US market in particular. Centers of technical textile production are the two provinces of Quebec and Ontario. More than 50% of the manufacturing companies are located in the province of Quebec. Approximately 400 companies specialize in technical textiles and related products and services. In the province of Ontario, most companies are located in the Toronto region. As in Quebec, there are also cross-industry research structures in Ontario, as well as projects between companies and universities. Opportunities for German companies exist for solutions and services from major industries like automotive, aerospace, medical technology and the construction sector.
The business delegation will visit Quebec and Ontario from October 24th- October 28th, 2022 to learn more about the Canadian market and to build new partnerships with Canadian companies.
