After years of exceptional leadership, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Thorsten Heins, whose strategic vision and dedication helped steer our organization through a period of significant growth. Thorsten, thank you. It has been a privilege.
We are thrilled to welcome Eric Bremermann as our new Chair of the Board. A Partner at Stikeman Elliott LLP in Toronto, Eric Bremermann brings deep ties to the Canada-Germany business community, extensive board experience, and — having grown up on both sides of the Atlantic — a uniquely personal commitment to the transatlantic relationship.
And what a moment to take the helm. The world has come to play in Canada this summer! FIFA World Cup energy is everywhere — fans in the streets, watch parties across the country — and it's a fitting backdrop for the busy season ahead. CGCIC events and roundtables are keeping pace, and the Canada-Germany agenda has never felt more alive.
