With the ratification of the Paris Climate Agreement, Canada has committed to reduce greenhouse gas emission by 30% by 2030 compared to 2005 levels. The target was set out in the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change in 2016, and was further elaborated in “A Healthy Environment A Healthy Economy” Plan published in 2020. One sub-goal of this is to promote energy efficiency and energy conservation in industry.

Germany is sharing similar goals. In both countries businesses are facing challenges to reduce green house gas emissions and to implement energy efficient technologies.

The German Canadian Conference on "Energy Efficiency in Industry" will highlight specific energy efficiency topics in both countries, look at different technologies and facilitate the exchange between German and Canadian representatives of the industry, associations and regulatory bodies. The audience will be able to connect with the experts and other audience members directly.

Presentations from experts from Germany and Canada will be followed by three panel discussions on the topics:

  • Improving Industrial Plants – From Energy Management to Exhaust Heat and Waste Water
  • AI and Analytics – an Optimal Solution for Industrial Machines and Processes?
  • New Technologies - Increasing Energy Efficiency in the Agricultural and Food Industry
